Hello and welcome to The Happy Blossoms Online Flower School.

We created this space to share everything we’ve learned from building The Happy Blossoms over the past 8 years — bringing together our experience, creativity and love of flowers into one place.

Starting with the very basics, you’ll be guided by Creative Director Lauren Hooper through a thoughtfully curated collection of step-by-step video lessons, supported by beautifully written notes, covering all areas of floristry.

Lauren is the Co-Founder and Creative Director of The Happy Blossoms, a colourful dried and fresh flower brand founded in 2018. Best known for its signature dried flower collection, Baked Blossoms, the Dorset-based business delivers joyful floral design across the UK and has been featured in Vogue, YOU Magazine, The Independent, and on Channel 4 and ITV.

With a background in Environmental Sciences, Lauren retrained in floristry to turn her passion for nature into a career. Having experienced the calming, confidence-building benefits of working with flowers firsthand, she believes floristry should feel accessible, creative and never intimidating.

The Flower School is an ever-growing library of floral lessons, seasonal projects and creative resources — designed for anyone who loves flowers and wants to bring more floristry into their everyday life. Whether you’re exploring a new hobby or building your skills further, this is your space to learn, create and truly blossom.

We guide you step-by-step from the basics through to more advanced designs, so you can build confidence as you go.


How does the membership work?

It’s a flexible monthly rolling subscription at £16 per month or £160 per year with two months free for a limited time.

There’s no contract - you can cancel anytime.


What tools and materials will I need?

We recommend having a good pair of secateurs (or snips) and some twine to get started.

For each tutorial, we’ll clearly outline exactly what flowers and materials you’ll need before you begin, so you can feel prepared and confident.


Is this suitable if I’m thinking about starting a flower business?

Yes. Whether you’re exploring floristry as a hobby, considering re-training, or already building a small business, our Online Flower School will help you strengthen your technique, confidence and understanding of the industry.


What if I’m not very creative?

You don’t need to be.

Creativity isn’t something you’re either born with or not - it’s something you build. With the right guidance, simple techniques and a bit of practice, your confidence will grow.

We break everything down step-by-step so you’re never left guessing. Most of our students start by saying “I’m not creative”… and surprise themselves.
