The journey of setting up and navigating a small business is challenging and we believe in always celebrating the achievements- big or small!
We'd like to take the chance to celebrate and share with you some of our favourite female founders and their businesses. These creative and passionate women are growing incredible businesses and focusing on what's important in the world, leading the way and inspiring people every day.
Katie is a surface and product designer from Nottingham and works with Jesmonite to create terrazzo works of art. Katie has a passion for slow design which focuses on the materials that are used, the origin of a piece and how it's made. In turn, creating more meaningful products which are environmentally and sustainability conscious.
Eleanor runs a Textile Design and Illustration Studio based in Manchester. Her designs are bold, full of funky patterns and colour and often feature inspiring quotes- they always put a smile on your face.
Laura founded luxury British brand Laura Gravestock Jewellery in 2009 and creates covetable, luxury jewellery with a playful twist. Laura's jewellery is feminine and sumptuous and she has created a beautiful range with the fabulous Rachel Stevens.
Sisters Becca and Jess started Mustard Made in 2017 after always dreaming of starting a business together. Their brand has grown massively since then and their gorgeous, colourful lockers have now launched in the USA.
Bianca White was a primary school teacher previously and started Bable by accident when she was hand painting some candles as a gift for a friend. Now Bianca sells her innovative designs around the UK and has started running candle painting workshops.
Tabara was inspired to launch La Basketry after travelling to Senegal growing up. These stunning handmade baskets are designed by Tabara and her sister Mamy. Together, they wanted to start a project that brought more meaning into their lives and others lives.
Cecily and Ilana source the worlds best designers to design beautiful, exclusive jewellery in a collaboration that everyone can be a part of. They do this by creating luxurious jewellery that is fairly priced.
Gemma's aim is to inspire and empower women through positive, strong and meaningful messages. Gemma strives to make unique and great quality clothing that is ethically made.
East London artist, illustrator and print designer Rose paints beautiful prints and uses elements from nature in her work, with the focus usually being on flowers. Her work is instantly recognisable.
Natasha Fernandes Anjo founded Roop in 2019, it's grown massively since then and is now stocked in Selfridges. Natasha's beautiful one of a kind accessories are made from leftover fabrics and there are always new styles and colours.
Steph's hobby of baking soared into a full-time job in 2018 and now Steph ships stunning cookies across the UK. Steph's colourful cookies are made with love, making them truly unique.
