The Queen's Platinum Jubilee is next week and as a lot of us gear up for street parties and celebrations we wanted to share our tips on how to create a fun table scape for the occasion.
Firstly, choose your colour scheme! We've mainly incorporated red and blue and love to mix and match styles and colours, but think it's effective to have similar colours repeated throughout the display. We've also used bright pink tulips and peonies on our Jubilee table to add a pop of Happy Blossoms summer colour.
We've decorated our table using a mixture of dried and fresh flowers. The floaty fresh blue flower with stunning foliage scattered throughout the middle of the table here is Nigella. These flowers are so beautiful on their own, you can just pop them straight into your favourite vases.
You can also disperse dried flowers and grasses over the table using little coloured bud vases in varying heights, shapes and colours. It's so much fun to mix and match stems to create mini arrangements. We've used the Jubilee Style at Home kit here.
Dried flower bunches in different sizes styled into a variety of vases create depth to your table and are a great way of dispersing colour. We've also used a mix of tableware, coupling glass with china. We love how the glass cake stand makes a pretty reflection on the tablecloth!
You can make your party food and drink part of your tablescape, displaying it on pretty tableware scattered throughout the table. We also enjoyed matching some of the food with the colours of the flowers.
When you've arranged the different elements until you're happy with your tablescape it's time to sit back and enjoy with friends and family- cheers!
